Kevin C. McReynolds Jr. life in the spotlight began in high school where he was a standout student athlete. In addition to being named a 4-star football recruit and Under Armour All American, Kevin also starred on the mats as a Washington, D.C. city-champion wrestler. From his 40 football scholarships, Kevin chose UCLA. While at UCLA, Kevin launched his company, Highlyfe Entertainment, a promotional and event-management company. After graduating with a degree in Political Science from UCLA, Kevin transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno to receive a Masters in Business Administration and play his final year of football eligibility. Just a few months before graduating with an MBA, Kevin had a harrowing experience with the campus police who threatened to shoot him based on his remarkable size and skin color. After a Title IX investigation was launched, Kevin decided to make a positive out of the experience by launching The McReynolds Project, a non-profit aimed at improving minority representation in local police forces. With improved diversity and awareness, Kevin hopes to invigorate the culture of local police forces, and subsequently improve the way police interact with people of color in the community. Kevin also is on the advisory board for university police services for the University of Nevada, Reno; Desert Research Institute and Truckee Meadows community college.
